ANTÓNIO ROSADO

António Rosado tem uma carreira reconhecida nacional e internacionalmente, corolário do seu talento e do gosto pela diversidade, expressos num extenso repertório pianístico que integra obras de compositores tão diferentes como Georges Gershwin, Aaron Copland, Albéniz ou Liszt. Esta versatilidade permitiu-lhe apresentar, pela primeira vez em Portugal, destacadas obras como as Sonatas de Enescu ou paráfrases de Liszt, sendo o primeiro pianista português a realizar as integrais dos Prelúdios e também dos Estudos de Claude Debussy. No registo dos recitais pode incluir-se também a interpretação da integral das sonatas de Mozart.
Actuou em palco, pela primeira vez, aos quatro anos de idade. Os estudos musicais iniciados com o pai tiveram continuidade no Conservatório Nacional de Música de Lisboa, onde terminou o curso Superior de Piano, com vinte valores. Aos dezasseis anos parte para Paris, e aí vem a ser discípulo de Aldo Ciccolini no Conservatório Superior de Música e nos cursos de aperfeiçoamento em Siena e Biella (Itália).
Em 1980, estreou-se em concerto com a Orchestre National de Toulouse, sob a direcção de Michel Plasson e desde essa data tem tocado com inúmeras orquestras internacionais e notáveis maestros como: Georg Alexander Albrecht, Moshe Atzmon, Franco Caracciolo, Pierre Dervaux, Arthur Fagen, Léon Fleischer, Silva Pereira, Claudio Scimone, David Stahl, Marc Tardue e Ronald Zollman.
Também na música de câmara tem actuado com prestigiados músicos como Aldo Ciccolini, Maurice Gendron, Margarita Zimermann, Gerardo Ribeiro ou Paulo Gaio Lima, com o qual apresentou a integral da obra de Beethoven para violoncelo e piano.
Laureado pela Academia Internacional Maurice Ravel e pela Academia Internacional Perosi, António Rosado foi distinguido pelo Concurso Internacional Vianna da Motta e pelo Concurso Internacional Alfredo Casella de Nápoles. Estes prémios constituem o reconhecimento internacional do seu virtuosismo e o impulso para uma brilhante carreira, com a realização de recitais e concertos por todo o Mundo, e a participação em diversos festivais. Na década de 90, foi o pianista escolhido pela TF1 para a gravação e transmissão de três programas – música espanhola e portuguesa, Liszt e, por fim, um recital preenchido com Beethoven, Prokofiev, Wagner-Liszt.
Em 2007, a França nomeou-o Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.

Antonio Rosado is a pianist nationally and internationally recognized, result of his talent and taste for diversity, expressed in an extensive piano repertoire that includes works by composers as diverse as Georges Gershwin, Aaron Copland, Isaac Albéniz and Franz Liszt. This versatility allowed him to present for the first time in Portugal, outstanding works as the Sonatas of G. Enescu or the Paraphrases of F. Liszt, being the first Portuguese pianist to perform the complete Preludes and Etudes of Claude Debussy. Also about his recitals can be underlined the interpretation of the complete Mozart sonatas.

António Rosado has performed on stage for the first time at four years of age. His musical studies started with his father, and continued at the National Conservatory of Music in Lisbon, where he finished the Piano Superior course, with the highest qualification. At sixteen Rosado left for Paris, and there he came to be a disciple of Aldo Ciccolini at the Music Conservatory and further training took place at Siena and Biella (Italy).

In 1980, took place is debut in concert with the Orchestre National de Toulouse, under the direction of Michel Plasson and since then António Rosado has played with numerous international orchestras and notable conductors such as Georg Alexander Albrecht, Moshe Atzmon, Franco Caracciolo, Pierre Dervaux, Arthur Fagen, Leon Fleischer, Silva Pereira, Claudio Scimone, David Stahl, Marc Tardue and Ronald Zollman.

In chamber music he has performed with prestigious musicians such as Aldo Ciccolini, Maurice Gendron, Margarita Zimermann, Gerardo Ribeiro and Paulo Gaio Lima, with whom he played Beethoven's complete works for cello and piano.

Laureate by Maurice Ravel International Academy and the International Academy Perosi, António Rosado was distinguished by the Vianna da Motta International Competition and the International Competition Alfredo Casella in Naples. These awards are the international recognition of his virtuosity and the impetus for a brilliant career, with performing recitals and concerts throughout the world, and participation in various festivals. In the 90s, he was the pianist chosen by TF1 for the recording and transmission of three programs - Spanish and Portuguese music, Liszt and, finally, a recital with music by Beethoven, Prokofiev, Wagner-Liszt.

In 2007, France named him Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
